Reactive Rover Course
Did you know reactivity isn't solved with obedience training? That's because reactivity isn't an "obedience" issue. It is an emotional response!
Instinct Canine's Reactive Rover course is designed to help you understand why dogs struggle with reactive behaviours, and how to best support your dog to manage this behaviour safely. Our goal is to teach your dog to change their emotional response to triggers that cause reactivity.
What to expect from reactive dog training
Instinct Canine's Reactive Rover course is four weeks in length and located at our Burlington training facility. The course is offered on a 1:1 basis to ensure the safety of the dog, handler, and Instinct Canine trainers. Reactivity is a very nuanced behaviour that takes time to work through, and each dog is different. In some cases, it may take years of work for a dog to modify reactive behaviours. Instinct Canine will provide you with the first steps to manage your dog's reactivity, and we will customize the training to your dog's ability and their success rate. We will also be there for you and your dog beyond those 4 weeks to keep the momentum going!
What our Reactive Rover clients have to say
"Anna Marie was amazing and we couldn't be more pleased with the Reactive Rovers program, which is a series of private lessons. Rudy was extremely reactive and high strung. He barked excessively in the house and had become increasingly aggressive on walks, lunging at other dogs and going banana pancakes. Anna Marie quickly analyzed his behaviour and provided strategies that worked immediately. Each session brought more improvements. Now Rudy not only walks calmly but also is generally better behaved. His barking is minimal, he sits calmly beside me, and more obedient overall. Thank you Anna Marie. You are honestly a life saver." -Margaret |
