You'll meet one-on-one with an Instinct Canine Training trainer who will get to know you and your dog before helping you build a custom plan around your goals. No question is too small and no situation is too complicated. We've likely seen it before, and we're here to help! Reach out today, and we’ll teach you how to truly connect with your dog in a way that goes beyond just obedience.
All behavioural consultations take place at our Burlington training facility.

Is A Consultation Right for You?
A Behavioural Consultation is a great starting point if you're not sure what your dog needs yet, if scheduling makes group classes tough, or if you want a custom plan before committing to a full program.
If you already know your dog needs ongoing 1:1 obedience work, our Private Obedience course may be the better fit. And if your dog struggles with reactivity, our Reactive Rover course is designed specifically for that. Not sure which is right? That's exactly what a consultation is for. We'll help you figure it out.

A Behavioural Consultation Might Be For You If...
This might be for you if:
- You're not sure where to start, or which class fits your dog best
- You're working through a specific behaviour challenge
- Your dog needs a little extra one-on-one attention before joining a class
What Happens After The Consultation
Most clients leave their consultation with a clear next step, whether that's joining one of our group classes, starting a private package, or working through a specific plan together.
What Our Clients Say
Approx. 3 months ago my wife and I adopted a 4 year old King Shepard/Husky who was in need of a new home. Although friendly towards our family he was extremely reactive towards other people and animals on our daily walks. Being a very large dog it was most challenging to control him. My wife was very anxious on the walks and I became concerned that I might sustain an injury as a result of the constant pulling on the leash that followed these encounters.
We knew we needed help and after some research turned to Anna Marie Stewart at Instinct Canine Training. Almost immediately we noticed a wonderful change in our dog's behaviour during his walks.
My wife says Anna Marie is a "Miracle Worker". Her understanding of the canine mind and her patience in dealing with both the animal and their owners is evident. She brings a real enthusiasm and joy and you know she cares deeply about her training. We would both highly recommend Anna Marie at Instinct Canine Training.
