PRIVATE LESSONS
Private Obedience Course
$699+HST for 7 weeks
We offer a 7 week private obedience course. You and your dog will learn everything offered in group class, but in a one on one setting (Settle, Place, Recall, Impulse Control, Loose Leash Heel, Sit, Down, Sit Stay, Down Stay, Eye contact on command.) This is a great option for dogs who don't do well around other dogs, if you are looking for the more personalized approach or if the timing of group classes is not an option for you. We are also able to address some behaviour issues in this course as well. We find an approach of obedience combined with behaviour modification creates better results. These lessons generally run for aproximately 30 minutes - 1 hour in length (the first few lessons are longer but get shorter as we progress).

Reactive Rover
$595+HST for four lessons
Do you have a dog who is reactive towards dogs or people? This course is designed to help you understand the behaviour and teach you how to best support your dog and manage their behaviour. Our goal is to teach your dog to change their emotional response to triggers that cause reactivity. Reactivity is a very nuanced behaviour that takes time (sometimes years) to work through and each dog is different. This course will give you the first steps to start with. We will customize the course for your dog and at their success rate.
Please note:
1. Additional lessons may be nessessary depending on the severity of reactivity. The cost and number of lessons will be determined on a case by case basis.
2. We only take on a few reactive dogs at a time to ensure we can give you our full support. Therefore, space is limited.

$160.00+HST (up to 90 minutes)
Private consultations are an in depth assessment where we can evaluate your concerns, address and start some stratagies to help with behaviour. These sessions are aproximately 1 1/2 hrs in length. We can start to address many issues that you are concerned about. After the initial assessment we can look at additional training options as needed.
Common concerns we can help address in a single lesson or two:
Jumping up on people
Not coming when called
Threshold Respect (running out the door)
Pulling on the leash
Puppy biting
How to behave when people come to visit
Greeting people politely
Barking, Whining
Begging
Counter Surfing
Preparing to bring a new puppy/dog home
All private consultations/lessons take place at either Simply Ballroom Dance Studio on Mainway or the home of Instinct Canine Training near Upper Middle Rd and Centennial Drive in Burlington, Ontario.
